CELPIP Studio

FREE · NO SIGN-UP REQUIRED

Try a CELPIP sample across all four skills before you create an account.

This short sample lets you listen once, answer a Reading question, draft a Writing response and complete a timed Speaking task. Everything on this page works without an account.

Start with one Reading question · about 2 minutes →

You do not need to finish all four samples. Complete one, read the explanation, and continue with a free exercise in that skill.

These are original CELPIP Studio teaching items, not official CELPIP questions. The mini sample is intentionally shorter than a real test. Use it to experience the task style; use the free diagnostic and full practice library for a broader readiness check.

SAMPLE 1 OF 4

Listening · follow the final arrangement

Listen once to a short daily-life conversation, then answer the question. The voice is generated by your device and is not official CELPIP audio.

What do Jordan and Maya finally decide to do?

Review transcript

Jordan: Hi Maya, are we still meeting at the library at six?

Maya: I can't make it by six. The bus route is being diverted because of road work.

Jordan: Should we move it to seven?

Maya: That works. Could we meet at the café across from the library instead? It closes at eight, but I only need about forty minutes to review the proposal.

Jordan: Perfect. I'll bring the printed budget.

Subject: Sunday Cycling Clinic – Location Change

Thanks for registering for our beginner cycling clinic this Sunday. Because heavy rain is expected, the 10:00 a.m. session will no longer take place at Riverside Park. Instead, please meet in Gym B at the Lakeside Community Centre at the same time. We will focus on bike safety, route planning and basic maintenance, so you do not need to bring a bicycle. Participants registered for the separate advanced clinic should still arrive at 11:00 a.m.

What should a participant in the beginner clinic do?

SAMPLE 3 OF 4

Writing · cover every requirement

Original sample prompt: You reserved a study room at a community centre for an important group presentation, but when you arrived the room had been double-booked. Write an email to the manager. Explain why you needed the room, describe the problem it caused, and request a suitable solution.

0 words · The current official Writing tasks use a 150–200 word target.

SAMPLE 4 OF 4

Speaking · Giving Advice

Original sample prompt: Your friend has started a new full-time job and is finding it difficult to balance work, exercise and cooking healthy meals. Give your friend practical advice on how to build a manageable routine.

Task 1 currently gives 30 seconds to prepare and 90 seconds to speak. When you start, the page will request microphone access so you can replay your response locally. Nothing from this sample is uploaded.

What to do after this sample

If the sample felt comfortable, move to the free diagnostic so you can see all four skills in a broader sequence. If one part felt noticeably harder, go directly to focused practice for that skill and repeat the same decision on fresh material.
