CELPIP SPEAKING · TASK 7
Expressing Opinions
Explain and defend an opinion.
A useful approach
Give a clear position, two developed reasons and a concise conclusion.
A common trap
Memorized broad statements can sound fluent while providing little task-specific support.
Try a focused drill
Support a local policy opinion with one example and one consequence.
Make the feedback useful
Compare your response with the task requirements before looking at any score. Pick one improvement from the rubric evidence and apply it in a fresh response. Keep both attempts so you can see the change.
